Dracaena Florida Beauty 3.5"
Among the flashiest dracaenas (Dracaena spp.), variegated 'Florida Beauty' (Dracaena surculosa 'Florida Beauty') illuminates dim garden and interior corners with glossy, yellow- and cream-splashed green leaves. When grown outdoors in U.S. Department of Agriculture plant hardiness zones 9 through 11, the 2 1/2- to 3-foot plant accepts full sun to partial shade. As an indoor accent in colder areas, it performs best with bright, indirect light.
Light: Dracaena surculosa need bright light, but should not be placed in direct sunlight. Good light will help keeping strong leaves variegation.
Outdoors, Dracaena surculosa can handle a few hours of direct sun, even.
Water: During the active growth period (from early summer till autumn) water Dracaena surculosa moderately to keep the potting mixture moist, but never sodden. During the rest of the year water it only enough to prevent the compost from drying out.
Temperature: For Dracaena surculosa the temperature should be moderate in summer with a minimum of 10°C (50°F) in winter. Provide the plant with some humidity by standing the pot on a tray with moist pebbles and by mist-spraying occasionally, but avoid over-watering the leaves.
